SRT-8 Dodge Charger

SRT-8 Dodge Charger

There are some cars that you know are going to be pretty neat as soon as you sit in them. This is one of those cars.

First, it’s a great design.

I’m not overly thrilled with the corporate Dodge grille, but n the Charger, it grows on you. What I loved was the overall concept, from the slight “shark nose” to the kick-up over the rear wheels that reminded me of some older Chevys and Cadillacs and has also returned in the Buick LaCrosse. This gives greater definition to the rear fender than a slab-sided design would give.

But,This all-out performance version of Dodge already-bold Charger sedan features an AutoStick five-speed automatic transmission, 20-inch alloy wheels with performance tires, sport suspension, dual chrome exhaust pipes, plus aerodynamic body kit with hood scoop and rear spoiler.

And the heart of the car is certainly the 6.1-liter SRT Hemi V8 engine. This powerplant puts out an impressive 425 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. The rumbling exhaust note alone gets the adrenaline pumping.

Power is channeled to the rear wheels, accelerating the Charger from zero to 60 miles per hour in under five seconds. The top speed is 180 mph if you take the lock off.

But Wait>>>………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

dsc01883Whats so special about this one? lets see.

This one indeed has KOOKS headers system with magna flow exaust system which itself gives it a beam of 480hp which is a good start, And also what it has is K&N Cold Air Intake System which help the car to go to around 500hp on the rear wheel. at the end is Diablo tuning which increases the HP above 500hp, man no one nowdays is lookin under 500 hp weird but awsome at the same time. So now we have a charger which produces above 500 hp which is good for a car that heavy but there is a small problem in this particular charger, the stock tires which are P225/60R18 cant take that much power for some reason when press the throttle fully the body starts to vibrate from the rear which makes the handling go all weird the only thing which stops this car to be perfect is the tires. changing them to semi-slicks will simply do the job.

n addition, the Charger has very clean black-on-white instruments that are easy to read. They are located in four deep nacelles for the major gauges. Audio and HVAC controls are fairly standard for Chrysler products.I liked the steering wheel, although the Mercedes-Benz-style cruise control stalk located just above the turn signal lever occasionally caused some problems. While I like the design of the stalk, there must be a better location for it.

The Charger also comes equipped with brake assist, an Electronic Stability Program, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and fog lights.Badges for Charger, SRT8 and Hemi are sprinkled about to show the world just what this performance machine is all about.Interior comfort and convenience items are well represented, too, with leather seats, a six-speaker Boston Acoustics audio system, cruise control, air conditioning, plus full power amenities (windows, door locks, heated mirrors, front seats).

Although you cannot find this car in showrooms cause Dodge doesn’t bring this SRT-8 model here, but you can get this car imported from U.S.A brand new just for 150,000dhs which is actully cheaper then the R/T version you get it here and almost twice more horses.
